Pastor Jeff began serving Hope Fellowship as Senior Pastor in July 2021. His role encompasses all leadership, preaching/teaching, and administrator roles of our ministry, as well as helping to guide HFC's lay leadership to grow and serve. Pastor Jeff holds a MDiv from the Master's Seminary. His passion is to, "exalt the person and work of Jesus Christ." He and his wife, Cara, have two children. They enjoy being active and outdoors, including hiking. He's excited to experience Kansas City BBQ to the fullest.
Pastor Josh's primary responsibility is to spiritually guide middle school and high school students, prepare them for a life dedicated to Christ beyond high school, and nail them with a dodge ball at every opportunity. Pastor Josh has his MDiv from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Josh has called Kansas City his home for most of his life. His favorite activities include trips to the lake, coaching youth hockey, hanging out with his siblings, enjoying time with his wife (Brenna), video and board games, and eating at Panda Express.
Cheryl serves as Hope Fellowship's part-time office administrator. Her primary responsibilities include supporting the Senior Pastor, data entry, managing communications, bulletin preparation, and other administrative tasks. When she's not serving the church as secretary or in her other volunteer capacities throughout the church, Cheryl enjoys painting, keeping in touch with her grown children, being with friends, and pampering her sweet pups when they aren't sleeping and snoring loudly.
Church Governance Lay leadership is central to the governance model of Hope Fellowship Church. Hope has a deacon board comprised of four men elected by the congregation for three-year terms who can serve two consecutive terms. In addition, Hope has an Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is composed of the Pastor(s), Deacons, Trustees, Treasurer, Overseers of Women's Ministries, Worship Team Leader, Care Ministry Leader, and one member at large for each fifty members (or fraction thereof). Members at large are elected by the congregation for a term of one year, and may serve two consecutive terms. Hope Fellowship's governance is guided by the church's Policy and Procedures Manual.
