What to ExpectHope Fellowship gathers at 10:15 a.m. each Sunday for corporate worship.
Our worship services include a time of praise led by a praise band that leads with both modern choruses and traditional hymns, culminating in an edifying time of expository teaching, and concluding weekly with partaking of the Lord's table. Our congregation is intergenerational, with young families worshipping alongside older adults. Those who make up our church family may come from a broad range of backgrounds, but have a common desire for Bible-based teaching and study in an effort to grow in their faith. In addition, Sunday morning Bible study classes for adults and Sunday School for children are offered at 9 a.m. each Sunday. |
Come as you are, but leave changed.
We are more concerned about what is on the inside than what you wear on the outside. Dress for our services tends to be fairly casual to business casual. It's our aim to help you know Christ more rightly, so you can love God more intimately, and serve Him more radically - for the purpose of building up the body of Christ and introducing others to Jesus. |
Hope Fellowship began meeting as a home Bible study group in 1985. It became an official church plant project of the North American Baptist Conference in 1987, with Pastor Dennis Dewey as the founding pastor. In 1996, Hope Fellowship completed construction of its physical building at NW Barry Road and N. Conant Avenue in Kansas City's Northland. It thrives in that space today.
As Hope Fellowship grew, additional staff members were brought alongside Pastor Dewey in ministry, including a full-time youth pastor, a part-time children's ministry director, and a part-time church secretary. After 33 years of faithful service, Pastor Dewey retired in 2019. God called Pastor Jeff Roets to lead Hope Fellowship into the future. Pastor Jeff began his ministry at Hope on July 1, 2021. |
